How To Install BoatNanny Alarm
System
The BoatNanny™ was developed with the consumer in mind. The entire installation process is very simple. The BoatNanny™ utilizes wireless technology to send information between the Base Unit and the Remote Unit. The advantages of a wireless system include no installation fees and no hardwiring required.. Detailed below is the step by step procedure - from removing the BoatNanny™ out of its box to actually using the text-messaging feature of the BoatNanny™.
-
Remove the BoatNanny Base and Remote
Unit from the packaging.
-
Plug in the 12VDC or the 120VAC adapter into the Base Unit. Place the Base Unit in the cabin of boat, and position the motion sensor toward the entrance.
-
Take the Remote Unit and attach a float switch to the wire protruding from the case.
-
Mount the Remote Unit in the engine room, along with the float switch, near the bilge pump.
-
Switch the power on and wait until the LED turns to solid green.
-
Using your cell phone (or from http://www.wireless.att.com/home or www.t-mobile.com ), send a text message to your BoatNanny™ (the number registered with the SIM card). The text message should consist of the number 11, followed by your cell phone number. For example, if your cell phone number is 508-000-000, enter 115080000000.
-
Within a minute, you should receive a confirmation text message from your BoatNanny™.
